Spencer G. Markle
Mr. Markle attended at Duquesne University where he was three year starter on the football team at defensive back. Thereafter, he obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He received his license to practice in Texas in 1982. He is also licensed in Pennsylvania and licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court, The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas. The first 20 years of Mr. Markles practice were devoted to defending business establishments in Dramshop and Liquor Liability litigation and Healthcare Professionals in Medical Malpractice lawsuits. Beginning in January 2003, Mr. Markle has devoted his practice to the representation of victims of wrong doing, particularly in the areas of Dramshop litigation and Medical Malpractice lawsuits. Over his career, he has tried nearly 100 lawsuits to juries in more than 20 counties across the state of Texas. Mr. Markle has been selected a Texas Super Lawyer for 2003, 2004 and 2005 by Texas Monthly Magazine, the only three years such distinctions have been recognized. H-Texas Magazine also selected him as one of Houstons top lawyers for 2005 and 2006. He is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell and is a recognized, published authority on Dramshop and Liquor Liability litigation and The State Bar of Texas has selected him to speak and present papers eight times at the Annual Advanced Personal Injury Law Course and four times at the Annual Advanced Medical Malpractice Course.
